At Auckland Skin Clinic we aim to restore the skin’s innate ability to heal itself using the most natural, research-based products we can find. When we discovered the Janesce Organic Skincare range, we knew it would be a perfect adjunct to the Dr Michael's Dermaceutical Range. This is especially good for restoring the skin's microbiome, following skin disease treatment.

Auckland Skin Clinic’s Karen Henton and Debbie Walsh went to Tauranga to train with ‘Janine Tait Group’ on the Janesce Organic Skincare range. Karen is now a fully certified Janesce Therapist and is doing skin assessments at Auckland Skin Clinic. She is adept at choosing the right skincare products to support the individual case.

Janesce Organic Skincare Range is formulated in Australia by Naturopath Jan Jarre-Smith. After going through a major health crisis in her twenties Jan became a naturopath and discovered the innate healing power of nature within every one of us.

Jan was a pioneer of the holistic skincare movement in the 1960s as she became known for her success with skin issues. She drew on her bio-chemistry skills, skincare expertise and knowledge of plant medicine to formulate potent and effective natural skincare products.

The herbal tinctures in the Janesce range are the main therapeutics in them. The herbs are grown on organic, biodynamic Claret Ash Farm in the Adelaide Hills of Australia. The farm is family owned and run and great care is taken to ensure Jan’s high standards of plant care and respect are honoured.

After harvesting the dried medicinal herbs are infused for at least three months to ensure the extracted phytochemicals are highly concentrated. The tinctures are then aged for at least three years before being added to the products. This is slow beauty at its best– from farm to skin.

The result? Potent, concentrated products containing up to 70% more herbal plant actives than other Botanical ranges. Providing nourishment, antioxidants and hydration for the skin’s bilayers, and ultimately natural protection from the environment.
